The Big-10 and Pac-12 are going to a ten game conference schedule to safety concerns with the coronavirus. Though it's now a temporary precaution for health, this could be the long term answer for power 5 schools looking to get a ticket into the college football playoff. USC and Alabama were slated to play in non-conference this season. With that game canceled, the Trojans are sure to have a leg up on gaining entry to the playoff.
